My Story
This October I ran the Bath Half Marathon. This was my first time running that distance both to challenge myself and, in a modest way, to make a small effort at raising funds for Cancer Research.
I really enjoyed the challenge and the fantastic atmosphere of the event. I have therefore decided to run the next Bath Half on 17/03/2024 . I have two challenges, the first is to raise at least £1000 for Cancer Research and secondly to beat my 2023 time of 2 hours and 8 minutes. I am striving for a time of 1 hour and 50 minutes.
I have, again, chosen Cancer Research. It is a sobering thought that 1 in 2 of us could be impacted by cancer at some stage in our lives. My family has not been immune. That said, there is some fantastic innovation which is prolonging and saving lives. If I can help contribute to fund that innovation, even in a small way - As i run for those in my family and others who have been impacted, and to help innovation, please could you support as much as you feel able. Every penny counts!
