My Story

Hannah has been an inspiration to me from the moment I knew her.

At 12yrs old, it was watching Hannah fly over jumps and dance around dressage tests, winning all the rosettes at Pony Club camp whilst I was still learning how to ride a circle...

At 14yrs old, it was being on teams with her, and appreciating the true dedication, and perfection, that went into everything she did

At 15yrs old, it was following in her shadows as she was able to pass on her knowledge (far beyond her years) and joy for riding as she coached the next generation of riders

At 17yrs old, it was witnessing how someone was able to make the most out of a horrific situation and achieve more than many could dream

At 18yrs old, it was seeing how despite being dealt the cruellest of cards, Hannah's only thoughts were how she could use her position to help others in the future

I would love nothing more than to be able to continue to make memories with Hannah, making huge great plans over a cuppa. But Osteosarcoma cruelly ripped that opportunity away.

However, Hannah's inspiration remains ever strong, she is on my shoulder guiding me through every decision and reminding me to 'Dream Big, Fight Hard and Never Give Up' since we devastatingly lost her in 2016.

The latest decision? Run the Bath Half marathon in a blow-up horse costume...

In 2016, I ran 10km and seriously questioned my life choices... but it's time to dust off the trusty stead and tackle double that distance!

Why?

To help continue Hannah's legacy by raising funds for her charity, Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony.

The charity grants equestrian-related wishes to those facing serious illnesses, and funds research into osteosarcoma (an aggressive form on bone cancer)
